The Cumberland Trail on WDVX: Evelene Sharp & Family II

For the May 28th show, we listened to music relating to Evelene Sharp, daughter of Fiddling John Sharp. We talked about the music of the Sharp family, and how Evelene Sharp served an important role in preserving the legacy of her father’s music through oral history interviews & tapes she made. We listened to songs performed by Evelene, but also songs from influences and popular songs from her own collection and artists she mentioned in her interviews.
